Energy Healing – Energy Balancing

What does it all mean?

Years ago when I was in my early 20’s during what we called the “New Age” a mysterious woman in an odd  shop across from Boston Common said something that would change my life.

My friend, Ward, had gone in there and felt like she spoke to him as his old spiritual teacher had.

He was missing him.

So on my break from my job at the Boston Music Company I went over there and chatted with her for awhile.

I was waiting for her to drop some words of wisdom on me.  A bit after I got there she mentioned my hands.   A little after that she said, “You’re a healer.”

Right! What the heck does that mean?

My friend was all excited.  He had told me to go talk to her.

Little was I to know what that would mean for my life today. Energy Healing would be my future. But it was the furthest thing from my mind.

I was in Boston studying Musical Theatre and Opera. What did healing have to do with me?

How Energy Healing saved my life.

Over the course of the next 6 months life got crazy and complicated as it seems to in your early 20’s and I ended up moving back to Nebraska, my home state.

I had had it with the big city. I was depressed and not sure which way to turn so I went home.

To back up a bit some major life stuff had happened prior to my move to the coast. I had been in my junior year of college and gotten pregnant.  To make a long story short I had chosen adoption for my son and then gotten as far away from the pain as I could.

I got busy taking my mind off of that part of life by following my dream of being a professional singer.   Then more tragedy occurred. My father, who at 57 year old,  had been in remission from Leukemia had a recurrence.  It was early in the days of Bone marrow transplants and he did not survive the treatment. I had gotten through a depression that had hit me 6 month after the adoption.   With Dad’s death I sank into depression  again.  That is when I headed back to Nebraska.

I ended up visiting a former professor and unable to get through this story with her without ending up in tears. 

She knew that I had been on what I called a Spiritual Journey ever since meeting the mysterious woman in the shop.

She could see I needed help! She told me about Reiki a type of Energy Healing that her friend  Joy Renee’ did that she combined with what she called “Spiritual Counseling.”

I had very little money but I made it a priority to go see her right away. I needed help!  I was in a really tough place and not getting any better with counseling as I had the year before.

The Energy Healing that Joy did was a particular technique of Reiki called “Key to the Universe” that her mentor David Jarrell had created.

I owe my life to these sweet healers and mentors. The emotions I had run away from were gently brought to the surface and cleared with the powerful Energy Healing I received with this Reiki technique.

But the journey had only begun….

My Entry into Energy Healing

Somewhere in the middle of all of the ups and downs before I returned to Nebraska was when I had the experience with the mysterious woman in the shop.  I guess the idea of Energy Healing had stuck in the back of  my mind.

As I began to heal  from the traumatic events I had experienced I began to transform. I felt like I couldn’t go back to performing right then.  I wanted to do something for others.

I had gotten some Massage therapy while I was on the coast and I saw some classes advertised and jumped in!

Within the first weeks of school Joy’s teacher David came to town to teach a Reiki Class.  Here I had become a 1st Degree Reiki Practitioner less than a year after the mysterious prediction about me being a healer!

And the rest, as they say, is history.  That was 28 years ago and I have come miles and miles since then.

During the 23 years  of my Massage therapy practice  every time I put my hands on someone to do massage I started the flow of the Reiki healing energy. I learned the 2nd Degree Reiki technique that had helped me so much and through the years I did it occasionally. I became a Reiki master to have access to the highest levels of that energy.

Energy Healing for a BodyMind out of Balance

The lesson that I learned the most clearly actually created the name of my business today.  BodyMind Energy Balancing is what the Reiki DID for me!  Everything that had happened to me and all the emotions that stemmed from the thoughts that I had about it were stored in my energy body and my physical body.

I call this the BodyMind.  Our Body & Mind are inextricably tied to our Spirit and Emotions as long as we are alive on earth.  Our body stores the experiences of our lives as soul memory and cellular memory in our Energy Body.

As I cleared the old emotions my being came into balance and I could move forward in my life with Joy and Ease. Until I did that I kept recycling the same thoughts that created the same emotions and the same chemistry creating the depression.  Interrupting it with Energy Healing created the balance I needed to be able to move on.
